Pixeltan Interview and Live Footage

Repost from the DFA Forums:

I really should have posted this earlier but better late then never.

Pixeltan star in the 7th Episode of Radio Dingbat a video podcast that I produce. It features live footage of them playing at Tonic from back in last June plus a short interview as well. If you're using iTunes just click HERE to subscribe to the podcast, otherwise use this address - http://www.rockus.com.au/podcasts/podcast.xml with your podcatcher of choice.

You can also view the Pixeltan episode directly at this address - http://rockus.com.au/podcasts/Pixeltan.mp4 but it would be really great if you checked some of the other episodes as well. The next one features Japanther (and Devin from Pixeltan gets a shoutout) and should be up within the next couple of days.

Hope you guys enjoy this and let me know if you have any feedback on the podcast.

Sound of Silver streaming @ MySpace, UK Tour contest.

Hey folks.

Sound of Silver is now streaming at LCD Soundsystem's MySpace page. Have a go at it!

Also, if you're going to see them in the UK, there's a contest set up.
"For those of you going to see LCD Soundsystem on their UK tour, make sure you get to the venues early. On each night, a limited amount of LCD flags will be handed out as people enter. Each flag will have a unique code. When you get home from the gig, just click HERE and enter your details. The winners will then be contacted and can pick up their prize! A prop from the video for "North American Scum" - a genuine one off LCD collectable!"
U.S. folks - don't forget What James asked us to do. Presale info is now up at the official LCD site.

Spread the word.

March 20th, 2007 - SAVE THE DATE

long story, short, james is trying to get everyone who will buy sound of silver to buy it in its first week of release. if you're not planning on buying it, it totally doesn't matter.

from james via dfa message board (http://forums.dfarecords.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=2257):

here's the deal...

dreamgirls was the #1 record in the US with Billboard scan of 60064 sold this week.

lcd record 1 (the old record) sold a total of 60559 in the US since it was released.

meaning, straight up, if everyone who bought the first record bought s.o.s. the week it's released, then we're totally #1.

i'm sure some people who bought the old record have now moved on to extreme noise or something, but maybe there are enough new people to make up for it!

anyway, it's a dream, and i'll be able to move on to my other life as a mailman after that, because it would be all downhill from there for me."
